Wednesday

Okay, I just checked my blog and the posts are under Thursday, which technically that is correct, but since I haven't gone to bed yet, it is still Wednesday night. Just thought I'd mention that.

GO MAVS

Mavs won yesterday even by overcoming a 17-point deficit. GO MAVS!!! Woo-hoo. Game 6 tomorrow at the AAC. Need to concentrate on class before getting excited about the game. Was very drunk last night...uck!!! Need to leave after Trivia on Tuesday nights, don't need to be hanging out until 2:00am. Rosie needs to get her priorities and shit together!

Get Me Out Of Here

Well, class went HORRIBLE tonight. Only three of five group members were in class and we had to give a small presentation. Needless to say we were not prepared and basically got busted by the professor in front of the class. All I can think was "GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!" We looked foolish and unprepared. We definitely did not look like Graduate students and I am totally embarassed. I feel so sick! Basically we need to get our shit together and I assure you that I'm not going to look stupid ANYMORE!!! (or at least I hope not too).

This-or-That Tuesday

May 27: Personal Habits, Quirks, Routines, etc.

1. Do you prefer silence or do you like background sound (music, TV, etc)? I prefer background sound, I have done homework in front of the TV since I was in grammer school. However, lately if I have to read for class, I need complete silence...finance is hard enough.
2. Bathe/shower in morning or evening? Morning
3. Sleeping in complete darkness, or with a nightlight on? Complete darkness please. I used to sleep with a nightlight, but now I NO light...I'm a vampire...hahaha!
4. Lay out clothes the night before, or just grab what's closest in the morning? Grab what's closest in the morning. Back in the day I used to lay out clothes, but now its just go with how I feel in the morning.
5. Hang up/fold clothes neatly, or just toss them wherever? Hang up/fold clothes neatly if clean, else they go on the floor, on my computer desk chair, the end of the ironing board, etc.
6. Work out at a gym, or at home on your own (or do you not bother with exercise)? When I decide to workout, it's usually at the gym (at least until the membership runs out, then it will be at home or at the apartment complex workout room).
7. Talk on the phone, or via IM/e-mail? Mostly via email, I know people all over the place.
8. Are you usually on time, or late? On time or early
9. Spendthrift or frugal? Spendthrift, or at least try to be.
10. Thought-Provoking Question of the Week: You work with someone who is not in the habit of bathing regularly. The smell seems to be getting worse and worse! Would you: 1. try to do something about it, or 2. try to grin and bear it? If you said 1, what would you do? 1.Make conversation about the smell in the office and if the person doesn't realize it is him or her, then straight up tell him. Actually I'd probably hint at it first with spraying the air, making comments, and then telling the person that he or she STANKS! Luckily I haven't had that problem....knock on wood.

Happy Memorial Day!!!

I was going to play soccer today but ended up doing the family thing. It was good seeing the kids and my cousin. They are such a funny family. Finally gave them Christmas presents from two years ago...hahaha! Anyway, hope everyone is having a fun and safe holiday weekend. Going to the movies tonight...HOPEFULLY!!! =)

Oh No!!!!!!

Dirk went down in today's game. He twisted his knee. My baby got hurt!! I hope the rest of the team steps up and wins the next game for him. SCARY!!! If he can't come back then I can say that the Spurs will win it all. Best of luck to them, but I still must say...GO MAVS!!!!

Go Annika!!

Oh well, she didn't make the cut. But YOU GO GIRL!!!!

I bet half the people at the Colonial don't know anything about golf, they're just there to be seen. Nonetheless, I'm sure Fort Worth is getting the publicity and money it deserves. Whoever invited Annika is a SMART person. No one would care about the Colonial Tournament, but thanks to Annika, people are taking notice. At least she can play with the big boys.

10. Thought-provoking question of the week: The city of Boston has recently banned smoking in all restaurants and bars. Would you want to see such a law passed in your city/town/country, or not? Dallas passed the smoking ban a few weeks ago. Not sure how it has affected the businesses in the area. All I know is that it doesn't matter to me. I know lots of people who smoke and they just go to the surrounding areas where they can smoke without being harassed. Besides it's up to the smoker whether they want to light up. From what I understand the business just has to post that they are a non-smoking establishment, but the one that gets fined is the smoker not the business. Also, in Plano they passed the smoking ban and a couple months later revoked it as long as the establishment put in some type of air filter system. Good Luck Boston.

Dante's Inferno Test

So I came across this test from another site. What level of hell will I be banished to? Check out my results...

The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to
the Third Level of Hell!

LevelScore

Third Level of Hell
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the third circle, you find yourself amidst eternal rain, maledict, cold, and heavy. The gluttons are punished here, lying in the filthy mixture of shadows and of putrid water. Because you consumed in excess, you meet your fate beneath the cold, dirty rain, amidst the other souls that there lay unhappily in the stinking mud. Cerebus, a canine monster cruel and uncouth with his three heads and red eyes, dwells in this level. He growls and tears at the damned with his teeth and claws.

Happy Mother's Day

Just wanted to wish all the mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day.

I thank God everyday for blessing me with such a great mother. Although I may be stubborn, she is the most patient person I know. I can only hope to be as good of a mother as she is. THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter? I tried to alphabetize my CD's but I have too many that it would take too much moving around.

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize? Nothing physical, I had to "organize" a dance routine a few weeks before we had to present it...tough!

104-78

That's the score right now of the Mavs/Sacramento game and it's still only the 3rd with two and a half minutes left.

However, Chris Webber just went down. Hope he's okay. I want to see the Mavs win, but I don't want to see anyone get hurt.

Time to watch the fourth at Sharky's among other Mavs fans.

GO MAVS!

This-or-That Tuesday: The Media Edition (on Thursday)

Okay, I decided to join another fun list to make this blog somewhat interesting. Check out This-or-That Tuesday to join the list.

9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna? Cable
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose...print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why? Electronic, just too lazy to read paper form, I have enough with school stuff anyway...also, less paper lying around.

Another Beginning

And another trimester begins. Today was the first day of class. It looks like another loooong trimester. I'm already behind...gotta read 4 chapters by next week (in one book) and another chapter or two in another. AHHHH!!!

Okay, so the Mavs pretty much sucked yesterday...good luck tomorrow! Is it too much to ask to win at least one game??? Okay, I have confidence in the guys, they just need to step up.

I hope to update this blog as much as possible. Wish me luck.

Bring on Sacramento

Well, I was hoping to bring good news and YES!!! The Mavericks beat the Trailblazers...whew! Awesome job done by Dirk Nowitzki and Nick Van Exel. And of course...Michael Finley and Steve Nash, too. The rest of the Mavs need to step up if they hope to get past Sacramento. Oh and why don't they play Raja Bell, Popeye Jones, and Walt Williams...I think they could contribute more than Bradley has done. And that's my Mavericks schpeel.

Now, tomorrow the Stars need another win against the Ducks to tie the series...GOOD LUCK DALLAS STARS.

J-Lo Observation

We've all seen the "I'm so Glad" video right? It just doesn't go right with the video concept of "Flashdance." It's a great recreation, but she's all backwards. I've been trying to think of what song would go better with the concept and I think "Jenny from the Block" should have had the Flashdance concept and "I'm So Glad" should have had the Ben Affleck/paparazzi concept. Just some random thought.

Oh and the Mavs have their backs against the wall. GO MAVERICKS! It's the end of the first and they are down by three, but there is alot of basketball to go. Hopefully later on tonight, I can post good news.

Friday Five

This is a tough one, but I managed. These songs aren't set in stone since my taste in music is vast. It's hard to pick such a limited amount of songs. Here's today's Friday Five:

1. Name one song you hate to admit you like.
"Ice, Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice

2. Name two songs that always make you cry.
"God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood
"That's What Friends are For" by Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight

3. Name three songs that turn you on.
"Closer" by NIN
"Freaky" by Silk
"Can You Stand the Rain" by New Edition

4. Name four songs that always make you feel good.
"Those Were the Times" by Miguel Reyes
"Like I Love You" by Justin Timberlake
"You Don't Have to Call me Darlin'" by David Allen Coe
"Bombs Over Baghdad" by Outkast

5. Name five songs you couldn't ever do without.
"Say Goodbye" by Dave Matthews Band
"Pop" by *NSync
"Like a Prayer" by Janet Jackson
"You Outta Know" by Alanis Morrisette
"Nothin but a G Thang" by Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre

Whoo...that was hard!!!

Okay, time to get ready for work.
