  2. Pleasure:: Principle
  3. Sugar:: is sweet
  4. Special:: Mom
  5. Pure:: Real

ARGH....the MAVS are losing by 20...but you never know what can happen. Being down by 20 is NOTHING =\.

Happy Mother's Day

Just wanted to wish all the mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day.

I thank God everyday for blessing me with such a great mother. Although I may be stubborn, she is the most patient person I know. I can only hope to be as good of a mother as she is. THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU.

Friday Five

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not? Yes, If things are out of place, I'm always trying to straighten it out.

2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly? I have a planner and try to use it as much as possible, but most of the time it's all up in my head.

3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now? Don't have a desk to organize with the exception of my computer desk, but I hardly ever work there.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter? I tried to alphabetize my CD's but I have too many that it would take too much moving around.

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize? Nothing physical, I had to "organize" a dance routine a few weeks before we had to present it...tough!

104-78

That's the score right now of the Mavs/Sacramento game and it's still only the 3rd with two and a half minutes left.

However, Chris Webber just went down. Hope he's okay. I want to see the Mavs win, but I don't want to see anyone get hurt.

Time to watch the fourth at Sharky's among other Mavs fans.

GO MAVS!

This-or-That Tuesday: The Media Edition (on Thursday)

Okay, I decided to join another fun list to make this blog somewhat interesting. Check out This-or-That Tuesday to join the list.

7. A movie you've been looking forward to seeing gets bad reviews all around. See it anyway, or pass? See it anyway

9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna? Cable
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose...print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why? Electronic, just too lazy to read paper form, I have enough with school stuff anyway...also, less paper lying around.

Another Beginning

And another trimester begins. Today was the first day of class. It looks like another loooong trimester. I'm already behind...gotta read 4 chapters by next week (in one book) and another chapter or two in another. AHHHH!!!

Okay, so the Mavs pretty much sucked yesterday...good luck tomorrow! Is it too much to ask to win at least one game??? Okay, I have confidence in the guys, they just need to step up.

I hope to update this blog as much as possible. Wish me luck.

Bring on Sacramento

Well, I was hoping to bring good news and YES!!! The Mavericks beat the Trailblazers...whew! Awesome job done by Dirk Nowitzki and Nick Van Exel. And of course...Michael Finley and Steve Nash, too. The rest of the Mavs need to step up if they hope to get past Sacramento. Oh and why don't they play Raja Bell, Popeye Jones, and Walt Williams...I think they could contribute more than Bradley has done. And that's my Mavericks schpeel.

Now, tomorrow the Stars need another win against the Ducks to tie the series...GOOD LUCK DALLAS STARS.

J-Lo Observation

We've all seen the "I'm so Glad" video right? It just doesn't go right with the video concept of "Flashdance." It's a great recreation, but she's all backwards. I've been trying to think of what song would go better with the concept and I think "Jenny from the Block" should have had the Flashdance concept and "I'm So Glad" should have had the Ben Affleck/paparazzi concept. Just some random thought.

Oh and the Mavs have their backs against the wall. GO MAVERICKS! It's the end of the first and they are down by three, but there is alot of basketball to go. Hopefully later on tonight, I can post good news.

Friday Five

This is a tough one, but I managed. These songs aren't set in stone since my taste in music is vast. It's hard to pick such a limited amount of songs. Here's today's Friday Five:

1. Name one song you hate to admit you like.
"Ice, Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice

2. Name two songs that always make you cry.
"God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood
"That's What Friends are For" by Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight

3. Name three songs that turn you on.
"Closer" by NIN
"Freaky" by Silk
"Can You Stand the Rain" by New Edition

4. Name four songs that always make you feel good.
"Those Were the Times" by Miguel Reyes
"Like I Love You" by Justin Timberlake
"You Don't Have to Call me Darlin'" by David Allen Coe
"Bombs Over Baghdad" by Outkast

5. Name five songs you couldn't ever do without.
"Say Goodbye" by Dave Matthews Band
"Pop" by *NSync
"Like a Prayer" by Janet Jackson
"You Outta Know" by Alanis Morrisette
"Nothin but a G Thang" by Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre

Whoo...that was hard!!!

Okay, time to get ready for work.

Okay, so you know my quiz obsession. I've been looking for my results from some quizzes I took on The Spark, but I can't seem to find them so I am retaking some of them. Here are some results...

First the Bitch test:

The Purity test:
No cool graphic, but the test said that I am 70% pure.

and according to The Spark.com's Famous Personality Quiz I am:
an Activist (Dominant Extrovert Concrete Feeler). Briefing the results, it said "In more general terms, you are driven much more by emotion than logic. But because of your ideals, you are more interested in real-world results than abstract conclusions."

That's all for now. Oh and the Mavericks take a commanding 3-0 lead!! I love this game!

Friday, April 25, 2003

Well, it's Friday and for the second Friday in a row I am not at Sharky's wasting money. I should be commended. However, I am watching the Mavericks game while playing online. I came across this fun org from a friend's website. It's called the Friday Five and it asks five questions every Friday. Looks like a fun thing to do, so I'll see how long I can keep up with it. But here it goes...the Friday Five for today...

1. What was the last TV show you watched? Last full TV show was "Law and Order:SVU" but right now watching the Dallas Mavericks vs. Portland Trailblazers in Game 3 of the playoffs.

2. What was the last thing you complained about? My grilled chicken breast sandwich at lunch was NOT good. Not tasty, on regular wheat bread, blah.

3. Who was the last person you complimented and what did you say? Ethel and Ruby, and how wonderful it was to see them today.

4. What was the last thing you threw away? You don't REALLY want to know.

5. What was the last website (besides this one) that you visited? www.yanowhatimean.com I have been obsessed with Christine's website. She has always had good sites since I can remember. Sorry Christine, I'm not stalking you, I just think your site is cool. If you happen to come across my lil blogger here, you are my idol!!! =)

That's all for now.

HAPPY EASTER from Florida! Today we went to Easter mass. Although this is a time to be happy and celebrate a joyous day in the Catholic Church I need to vent. I will do it in a separate paragraph.

Okay, so I'm not the world's best Catholic, but you can TOTALLY tell those who just go on Christmas and Easter. It's like amatuer night. One thing that I dislike the most is that some people STILL go into Church with their cell phones on. HELLO!?!!?! Two different cell phones went off during mass. Where's the respect? Cell phones have gotten WAAAAAY out of hand. Oh and kids over the age of five who can't sit still for an hour and parents who don't dicipline them. You are in a church and your kid is talking like he's at a party, quiet your kid PLEASE!!!!

Anyway, the top five places I hate people with cell phones...
1. Church. Nothing more to comment on that. (see above)
2. Movies. I didn't pay $8.00 to listen to your conversation.
3. In a restaurant. You came to eat. Nothing is more annoying than seeing two people at a table and the other person is on a cell phone. Why did you come out to eat with that person anyway? Also, you are NOT that important that you can't call that person back after you eat!
4. Driving. If you can't drive and talk on a cell phone at the same time...don't do it. Nothing is more annoying than a Plano housewife, driving her Mercedes, talking on her phone, and drifting into MY lane. Get off your freaking phone...biatch!
5. At a register. What ever happen to common respect among people? You can't get off your stupid cell phone for two minutes while you talk to the person at the register. Again, you are NOT that important.
Moral of the story, please respect those around you when using your phone. Not everyone wants to know what time Billy needs to be picked up from Soccer practice, who Ashley did last night, or that XYZ company didn't like your proposal. Yes I do have a cell phone, but believe me, I have an earpiece for the car, and I don't walk around the mall with the dumb thing attached to my ear. But then again...I guess I'm just not that important.

Enough about that. Yesterday, the Mavs won game one and the Stars finished off the Oilers. Nothing like the PLAYOFFS BABY!!!!

Oh and I need to get a tan before I go home. Luckily I still have over a week to get that mission accomplished.

Thursday, April 17, 2003

Goodbye MJ!! It's been GREAT watching you.
Hahaha....poor Red Wings, go DUCKS! Go STARS!!!!
Yeah to the Mavericks for getting 60 wins, we end up with the same record as San Antonio but unfortunately they have the better conference record, that makes us stuck in 3rd, but at least we play Portland instead of LA.
Work tonight with my favorite bartender =)
Okay, gotta take a shower and get going.
Off to Florida tomorrow for 11 days...gotta get a good tan.
Sooooo much to do, so little time.
